Plants are living beings that actively interact with their surroundings. Cultivated plants were “domesticated” by man during thousands of years. This e.g. shows up in the fructifying process: a kind of congestion which never presents itself in wild plants on that level.

This fructification expresses itself not only in the form (compare wild carrot to cultivated carrot), but also in taste, colour and specific nutritional quality.

Man is able to breed plant varieties that possess said qualities and are adapted to specific circumstances for breeding.

Also the farmer or marketgardener is asked to create plant-friendly surroundings. In our view biodynamic agriculture is a concrete example of this aim. Both together: plant and surroundings bring full nutritional value to a plant.
